Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actress. Her most well-known role was that of Skyler in the drama series of AMC, Breaking Bad. She won Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Leading Performance by a Supporting Actress in a a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with the art of acting at Preparatory School before her family relocated to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. She studied theatre at Northwestern University and spent a semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago performing in stage parts for a number of years. Later, she relocated to Hollywood, where she began her acting career in movies and television shows. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big part in the role of Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. After guest appearances as a Star in several TV Shows and Films, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue during the 90's She was then chosen to play Jean Ward as part of The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood for two seasons. Skyler was the character she played in Breaking Bad. Sully and Deadwood were also the highlights of her acting career. Gunn was also on stage in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. The year 2022 saw Gunn also was a part of a four-part audio-play series known as "Numbered days". Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's wedding to Skyler. Walter White's life story as well as the stress on the marriage he shares with Skyler are mirrored in the series.
